This peer-nominated award is presented to employees who go above and beyond in their roles, all while upholding WIKA’s commitment to integrity, customer satisfaction, partnership, safety, continuous improvement, social responsibility, and/or excellence.
Established when WIKA was founded in 1946, core values are the standards by which WIKA measures itself and its employees. Thanks to employees’ commitment to these corporate values, WIKA has become a worldwide leader in industrial measurement technology. The company would not be where it is today without this dedication from within.
Employees who do more than expected are vital to WIKA’s overall mission of helping customers succeed through superior instrumentation solutions. This is why WIKA USA began the Core Value Award program two decades ago: to acknowledge employees for their hard work and dedication.
Corporate Core Values are Keys to Company Success
A peer-nominated program, Core Value Awards give employees a special way to thank their colleagues for doing extraordinary work. Recipients are recognized for making a positive impact on WIKA’s continued success. Each nominee is chosen for exemplifying one of seven core values:
- Integrity: Promoting ethical business practices
- Customer Satisfaction: Creating positive customer experiences
- Partnership: Encouraging collaboration in the workplace
- Safety: Maintaining a safe work environment
- Continuous Improvement: Improving WIKA policies and processes
- Social Responsibility: Improving the community and the world at large
- Excellence: Exceeding expectations in work that directly impacts company success
A committee composed of senior managers chooses the winners, who receive a plaque, monetary award, and – for those in the main WIKA USA campus in Lawrenceville – a designated parking spot.
Corporate Core Values Award Winners: May 2022
WIKA USA recognizes the following eight employees in three locations for exemplifying one or more of the company’s core values in May.

Bee Yang, Manufacturing| Lawrenceville | Recognized for Excellence
It is evident when an employee pays attention to detail and takes pride in their work. Stacy Rakestraw recognizes Bee, a second shift calibrator, for her overall excellence. “Bee uses her knowledge and experience in calibrating to make sure that we send out a quality product. There have been several times when Bee noticed that the BOM (bill of materials) was not correct, and she would ask that we clarify several items; she was correct each time. Bee makes sure that we are sending out quality products, and her colleagues will go to her if they have any concerns.” Thanks for being such a dedicated and amazing employee, Bee!
Rafael Derencio, Sales | Lawrenceville | Recognized for Partnership
WIKA USA had a strong presence at the 2022 IEEE Power and Energy Society trade show in April, and a big reason for that was Rafael’s collegiality and helpfulness. Jonie Larsen, who organized WIKA’s booth at the event, writes, “I would like to nominate Rafael for all his help with coordinating the shipment for the IEEE T&D trade show. When the shipment from Germany did not get to Lawrenceville in time, I worked with Rafael to coordinate the products to ship from the Lawrenceville stock instead. With his partnership, we were able to get the products to the show in New Orleans without any issues. With his help, the event was a success.” Thank you, Rafael, for all you do!
Rebecca Scarborough, Human Resources | Lawrenceville | Recognized for Partnership
Manufacturing recently experienced a great deal of change – mainly new people in new roles, which required reassigning employees to the correct supervisors and managers in ADP, Kronos, and WIKA Academy. Bennett White writes, “At my request, Rebecca was asked to work extremely hard to make all the necessary changes and to get them right. All the changes were completed in a very timely manner, and her accuracy was phenomenal.” Bennett is glad to have Rebecca on his team, and WIKA is fortunate to have her as part of the company.
Sexton Delana, Manufacturing | Worthington, OH | Recognized for Excellence
Sexton is one of those people who takes initiative and is an asset to a team. Vasyl Tretyak writes, “Sexton was greatly involved in pushing late orders out the door, asking all the questions needed to quickly complete orders. After being out for a few years, Sexton quickly got back on track with processes and was heavily involved in the product’s movement. Good job!” Thank you, Sexton, and welcome back!
Caroline Chapman, Shipping | Worthington, OH | Customer Satisfaction
It usually takes new employees some time before they start contributing to a department, but not Caroline. Jim Szabo writes, “During May, Caroline performed extremely well under the pressure of shipping the amount of volume we did and dealing with all the challenges of fulfilling international orders. She is very committed to her job and takes pride in what she does. Almost daily I have to go to her and tell her to go take her lunch break – because she is so caught up in what she is doing that she doesn’t want to stop. For being here only two months, she has already helped us find better and more efficient ways to do the job. I can’t wait to see what her full potential is once she is 100% up to speed on how everything works.” Amazing, Caroline! We are so glad you are part of the Worthington team.
Daniel Osburn, Information Technology | Worthington, OH | Recognized for Excellence
IT is one of the departments that hold a facility together, and dedicated employees make all the difference. Jim Siebold writes, “Daniel was instrumental in the correction of our Test System data storage and writing. His persistence in discovering the root cause of the issue enabled production to return to normal operation.” Thank you, Daniel, for your commitment to problem-solving!
Liudmila Mazurenko, Manufacturing | Worthington, OH | Recognized for Excellence
It makes a tremendous difference when one employee is adaptable and talented enough to step into another worker’s role, which is precisely what Liudmila did, writes Vasyl Tretyak. “Liudmila was able to help another department, Gaging, to keep production moving while another employee had to be absent for an extended period of time. She did a great job while helping!!” Thank you Liudmila for your flexibility and willing spirit!
Amanda Henry, Purchasing | Houston | Recognized for Excellence
Amanda has the admiration of her colleagues for being a valued member of the Houston branch. Trish Ehlert writes in her nomination: “Amanda is always very helpful and positive, and goes the extra mile to ensure we have the materials needed for manufacturing. Amanda also responds to material pricing requests in a very timely manner.” Thank you, Amanda, for being such a wonderful team player!
