WIKA USA is committed to recognizing employees who exemplify one of the company’s seven core values. The peer-nominated award is presented to employees who go above and beyond in their roles, all while upholding WIKA’s commitment to integrity, customer satisfaction, partnership, safety, continuous improvement, social responsibility, and excellence.

Established when WIKA was founded in 1946, core values are the standards by which WIKA measures itself and its employees. Thanks to employees’ commitment to these corporate values, WIKA has become a worldwide leader in industrial measurement technology. The company would not be where it is today without this dedication from within.

Employees who do more than expected are vital to WIKA’s overall mission of helping customers succeed through superior instrumentation solutions. This is why WIKA USA began the Core Value Award program two decades ago – to acknowledge employees for their hard work and dedication.

Corporate Core Values are Keys to Company Success

A peer-nominated program, Core Value Awards give employees a special way to thank their colleagues for doing extraordinary work. Recipients are recognized for making a positive impact on WIKA’s continued success. Each nominee is chosen for exemplifying one of seven core values:

  • Integrity: Promoting ethical business practices
  • Customer Satisfaction: Creating positive customer experiences
  • Partnership: Encouraging collaboration in the workplace
  • Safety: Maintaining a safe work environment
  • Continuous Improvement: Improving WIKA policies and processes
  • Social Responsibility: Improving the community and the world at large
  • Excellence: Exceeding expectations in work that directly impacts company success

A committee composed of senior managers chooses the winners, who receive a plaque, monetary award, and a designated parking spot at the main WIKA USA campus in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

Jessica Woodside, Marketing | Recognized for Partnership

Jonie Larsen writes that she had recently been asked to oversee the virtual Distributor Training sessions. “Since I wasn’t familiar with RingCentral, nor had I overseen any webinars, I needed training in a few areas. Even though Jessica is very busy with her day-to-day responsibilities, she took the time to train me and walk me through the complete process – not just once, but multiple times. She also took the time to shadow me until I was comfortable doing it on my own. Jessica is a great teacher, and she is always willing to answer any questions and always makes me feel comfortable doing so. I am very glad that I have her to partner with!”

Eric Castillo, Information Technology | Recognized for Excellence

Pam Durfee appreciates all the extra tasks that Eric has had to take on since the pandemic changed the workplace. She writes: “The sudden shift in our work environment this year has caused us to rely on technology even more to do our jobs. Eric has been behind the scenes this whole time, coordinating, troubleshooting, and supporting the rapidly evolving needs of the employees with our virtual resource needs. From virtual town halls and RingCentral meeting support to individual requests and more, Eric analyzes the situation, develops a solution, and takes action swiftly. He even takes the additional step and follows up after a while to ensure everything is running smoothly. Thank you, Eric, for all that you do!”

Leah Duff says Angie, who is already a wonderful colleague, did even more to impress her. “Angie is always such a pleasure to work with; this is extremely important in a fast-paced, highly dynamic work environment like ours. She is always friendly and helpful, no matter what. Recently, she went above and beyond to help get out an emergency order. There were many members involved to make the shipment happen, and I would like to recognize as many of them as possible. However, Planning is a key department, and Angie was in the hot seat when we needed her. She jumped right on the order and made things happened – not once, not twice, but countless times. This was a prime example of both Partnership and Excellence, and she should definitely be recognized for her hard work, especially for this key customer!!!”

Greg Clark, Diaphragm Seals Division | Recognized for Excellence

The entire Projects team wishes to acknowledge Greg’s steady presence and superb leadership. “Greg has been meticulously working behind the scenes for many years. He has taken the initiative to identify obstacles during final assembly, and has also presented solutions required to complete or correct the tasks. His quiet daily management has helped the team find clarity through various challenges as the pressure mounts with rapidly approaching shipment due dates. His reliability and quality of work has played a major role in meeting demanding project schedules. We are very thankful for his dedication.”

Stephorn Cousin, Diaphragm Seals Division | Recognized for Partnership
