Each month, WIKA USA recognizes employees who exemplify one of the company’s seven core values. The peer-nominated award is presented to employees who go above and beyond in their roles, all while upholding WIKA’s commitment to integrity, customer satisfaction, partnership, safety, continuous improvement, social responsibility, and excellence.
Established when WIKA was founded in 1946, core values are the standards by which WIKA measures itself and its employees. Thanks to employees’ commitment to these corporate values, WIKA has become a worldwide leader in industrial measurement technology. The company would not be where it is today without this dedication from within.
Employees who do more than expected are vital to WIKA’s overall mission of helping customers succeed through superior instrumentation solutions. This is why WIKA USA began the monthly Core Value Award program two decades ago – to acknowledge employees for their hard work and dedication.
Corporate Core Values are Keys to Company Success
A peer-nominated program, Core Value Awards give employees a special way to thank their colleagues for doing extraordinary work. Recipients are recognized for making a positive impact on WIKA’s continued success. Each nominee is chosen for exemplifying one of seven core values:
- Integrity: Promoting ethical business practices
- Customer Satisfaction: Creating positive customer experiences
- Partnership: Encouraging collaboration in the workplace
- Safety: Maintaining a safe work environment
- Continuous Improvement: Improving WIKA policies and processes
- Social Responsibility: Improving the community and the world at large
- Excellence: Exceeding expectations in work that directly impacts company success
Each month a committee composed of senior managers chooses the winners, who receive a plaque, monetary award, and a designated parking spot at the main WIKA USA campus in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

Laura Fitzpatrick, Parts & Receiving, Pressure Gauge Division | Recognized for Customer Satisfaction
Tony Crook appreciates Laura as an indispensable member of the Parts & Receiving team. “Laura plays an integral part in the manufacturing plant’s success for the 2nd shift. She has directly impacted our on-time delivery by organizing fast delivery of expedite parts, and thereby helped improve WIKA’s culture of satisfying our customers by satisfying plant needs. What’s more, she does her job with a wonderful attitude. I, along with all the partners on the 2nd shift, would like to say, ‘Thank you, Laura!'”
Michael Zakas, Manufacturing, Pressure Gauge Division | Recognized for Safety
WIKA USA has a superhero on the manufacturing floor! Nominator Matthew Brown writes, “Michael was on break when he saw an employee choking on something. He immediately sprang to action and instructed another peer to go for help. He then proceeded to administer the Heimlich maneuver, which was successful. Michael continued to stay with the employee and made sure there were no other issues until first responders arrived. Michael displayed a great deal of poise and should be very proud of how he handled the situation!”
Amy Clark, Inside Sales, ETL Division | Recognized for Partnership
A relatively new WIKA employee, Amy has quickly gotten notice for her collaborative spirit in the Electrical Temperature Level Division. Kemberly Dean writes, “Amy is one of the hardest workers I know. She produces quality work and does it with a smile. In fact, Amy’s smiling face is her true asset. In the short time Amy has been with the company, she has been willing to take on additional duties all while boosting the morale of those she associates with on a daily basis. Amy’s attitude and willingness to help others is a benefit to the company as a whole.”
Bernadette Biggs, Quality, Pressure Gauge Division | Recognized for Partnership
Erich Berninger proudly nominates Bernadette for her consistently high-quality work. He writes, “In preparation for a very important customer audit, Bernadette did a fabulous job in preparing all the different groups throughout the building and, with that, assured WIKA another three years of approval without major findings!”
