Each month, WIKA USA recognizes employees who exemplify one of the company’s seven core values. The peer-nominated award is presented to employees who go above and beyond in their roles, all while upholding WIKA’s commitment to integrity, customer satisfaction, partnership, safety, continuous improvement, social responsibility, and excellence.
Established when WIKA was founded in 1946, core values are the standards by which WIKA measures itself and its employees. Thanks to employees’ commitment to these corporate values, WIKA has become a worldwide leader in industrial measurement technology. The company would not be where it is today without this dedication from within.
Employees who do more than expected are vital to WIKA’s overall mission of helping customers succeed through superior instrumentation solutions. This is why WIKA USA began the monthly Core Value Award program two decades ago – to acknowledge employees for their hard work and dedication.
Corporate Core Values are Keys to Company Success
A peer-nominated program, Core Value Awards give employees a special way to thank their colleagues for doing extraordinary work. Recipients are recognized for making a positive impact on WIKA’s continued success. Each nominee is chosen for exemplifying one of seven core values:
- Integrity: Promoting ethical business practices
- Customer Satisfaction: Creating positive customer experiences
- Partnership: Encouraging collaboration in the workplace
- Safety: Maintaining a safe work environment
- Continuous Improvement: Improving WIKA policies and processes
- Social Responsibility: Improving the community and the world at large
- Excellence: Exceeding expectations in work that directly impacts company success
Each month a committee composed of senior managers chooses the winners, who receive a plaque, monetary award, and a designated parking spot at the main WIKA USA campus in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

Rotha Bun, Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA), Pressure Gauge Division | Recognized for Partnership
Bernadette Biggs writes, “Rotha has been voluntarily supporting other WIKA locations with Axapta [an enterprise resource planning software] functionality training. He is always willing to help and is patient when explaining the system to new users. I received this today from WIKA Canada Oakville: Rotha, thank you for the training and support today. Great job!!“
James Ledford, Marketing, Pressure Gauge Division | Customer Satisfaction
“This is one of many times throughout the year that Jim has quickly responded to and helped our distributors with an opportunity,” Jeff Carrier writes. “A new salesman brought us an opportunity for digital gauges. He needed help identifying the correct product to offer and getting a unit to demo for his customer. Within 24 hours, Jim identified the correct gauge for the application and shipped out a demo unit. Hopefully this will result in an order. Regardless, this is the level of responsiveness and service that creates a positive customer experience and motivates our distributors to promote and sell WIKA.”
Eric De Los Santos, Manufacturing, ETL-DS Division | Recognized for Excellence
Griselda Salazar writes, “In the short time that Eric has been here at the Pasadena (Texas) location, I’ve been able to see how he treats others and how he speaks to his peers. Without a doubt, it’s very refreshing. He’s an awesome guy.”
Sydney Garrett, Marketing, ETL-DS Division | Recognized for Partnership
“I would like to nominate Sydney for all the help and training she has provided me over the last few months,” writes Jonie Larsen. “We are now responsible for the coordination of the trade shows, and while Sydney has done this in the past, I have not. I have relied on her so much for training me and teaching me the procedures of our new duties. She is a pleasure to work with, and I never feel that I am bothering her with all my questions. We are working very well together, and I look forward to learning more from her and being her partner in this position.”
Jonathon Tanksley, Sales, Flow Division | Recognized for Excellence
Kyle Thomas writes, “Jon brings a wealth of knowledge about WIKA Flow products and a happy, willing attitude to help others. He is ready to share that knowledge when working with customers and coworkers. Jon is also always motivated to take the extra time to help improve our process and help to create tools that make everyone’s job better and more efficient.”
Kimberlee Gilbert, Accounting, Pressure Gauge Division | Recognized for Excellence
“Kimberlee is a great representation of what it means to be an excellent employee!” George Gugich write, “She is always willing to lend a helping hand. In the latest example of this, she helped us out of a situation involving a rental car for an employee on the Friday after Thanksgiving – on her day off – to get us out of a bind. She is a tremendous help and truly an excellent employee!”
